The "Heroes Square" (Heldenplein in Dutch) is 100m from the flat and the setting for many organisations and events: Kneistival (2nd half of July, outside corona times), the Cartoon Festival, music, dance, theatre: you can get your fill. The construction of the Hero Tower (central in the picture) has begun, along with the redevelopment of the whole square. Everything should be ready by 2024. You can go and check-out the progress.
